Most of you know that in the past I have been critical of the President. He has never been a real conservative, and has even appointed liberals to his cabinet. However, last week Bush did veto a bill that would have legalized stem cell research. I just wonder if the President has finally seen that he needs true conservatives as allies. Only time will tell.
Even if he has it was a Republic Congress that allowed this bill to be put on his desk. This is proof that the Republican Party have turned their backs on the principles of Ronald Reagan. It is very possible that a liberal with be on the party's ticket in 2008.

Yep. The bill specifies they may only use existing stem cells left over from other purposes, but they may not produce new cells to be used strictly for stem cell research. In other words, they may not produce new life like a crop to harvest for research. I'm glad. I consider human life worthy of more respect than to be produced and harvested, even if it is for research.
