Spending Time With Jim Holt

The week before last I had the opportunity to spend two days with State Senator Jim Holt, who is the Republican Candidate for Lt. Governor. Like most of those who are seeking public office, Holt had vehicle in the Crossett Rodeo Parade. The Crossett Rodeo is one the biggest in the state, which draws politicians like a magnet. However most of the office seekers left town once the parade was over. Jim Holt took the time to visit with many of the people in area.

One thing that impressed me about Senator Holt was that he took the time to really talk with everyone. He was not in a hurry. That really touched me. Over the years I have help many politicians, but Jim was the only one who embraced me, and prayed before he left. I truly hated to see him, his kids, and supporters drive away.

Jim Holt is not really a politician, I see him as a true missionary seeking to bring honesty and compassion back to our nation. The same desire that our founding fathers had.

Before the parade I also had a chance to meet Jim Lagrone, the Republican Candidate for Secretary of State. The Shamgar Report endorsed him some time back. He is also a Christian and a true Conservative. Just wished he would have stayed a bit longer in town.

Do you have a couple more of those kinds of politicians to send my way? We could use them around here.
