The Granddaughter of Battman

The Batman television show made an impact on the children of the sixties. Batman merchandise could be found in every store. Even a masked wrestler billed as Battman appeared on the east coast. Battman's real name was Tony Silipin  who also wrestled under the name of Tony Marino.

After the Battman gimmick was phased out Tony Marino wrestled in the NWA and held the World Tag-Team Championship (Detroit version) with Fred Curry and Bobo Brazil. Marino died this past May at the age of 90, but his NWA legacy lives on through his granddaughter Lady Frost.

Lady Frost is a great athlete and should have a great future. At the moment she has not won many matches in the NWA, but has won the hearts of the fans. Battman would be proud of her.

Update: Since posting this, Lady Frost has held the Hurricane Pro Women's Championship.
