Holt Visits Crossett Again

As I have stated in a previous post, most state-wide candidates ignore Southeast Arkansas. Many will come to the Crossett Rodeo Parade and then get out of Dodge. Never to be seen again. Jim Holt not only stayed two whole days, he returned to Crossett last week.

Senator Holt is not only a true conservative, he is trying to visit every region of the state. Most candidates only focus on Central and Northwest Arkansas. The rest of the state is virtually ignored. It is refreshing to find an office seeker who is concerned for Arkansas as a whole, and doesn't break it into pieces and treats each region as a separate world.

Independent Candidate Rod Bryan is touring the state in his quest for Governor. Like Holt, he is not accepting money from lobbyist. I have been very impressed with Rod's campaign. Just wished I knew how he stood on abortion.

A CORRECTION

On my post about the Greens for state-wide office, I stated that R. David Lewis(candidate for State Land Commissioner) was the only Green to to be in two-way race. Michael Bolzenius (candidate for State Auditor) is facing incumbent Jim Woods without any Republican opposition. Bolzenius is only one of the two Greens to have his own website. The other is Green candidate is Jim Lendall.

My prayers also go out to the family of Governor Ann Richards. I never agreed with her politics, but my sympathies always go out to any family when they lose a loved one.
