A Dream Restored

This weeks poetry assignemt from the Whimsy group was a PI about apples.

A Dream Restored

In a meadow
An
Old apple tree stood
It's
Apples shinned like giant rubies
Creatures great and small came from far away places
Just to
Feast from this great lonely tree
Then one stormy night winds
Destroyed the tree
And apples scattered all over
The next spring many new apple trees sprouted
Creatures great and small watched them grow in size
Once again they made their long journey
This time to an orchid full of tasty apples
A dream restored

You paint a lovely picture.

am particularly fond of those interjected prepositional phrases that hold their own in a line... "an" "it's" and "just to"

gave the poem a staccato, yet uninterupted, appeal.

thank you for sharing via the ringing ^_^ sorry billy lost your poem, hehe
