Crazy Luke and Earthquake Pass Away

This month two well known wrestlers passed away. Grady Johnson was a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, and wrestled under the name “Crazy” Luke Graham. He and Tarzan Tyler were the first men to hold the WWF Tag-Team Titles. At times he was billed as being brothers to “Superstar” Billy Graham, Former NWA President Eddie Graham, and Dr. Jerry Graham. For several years Luke and Jerry worked as a tag-team billed as the Graham Brothers, and held the United Stats Tag Team Titles (WWF Version). After wrestling Johnson lived in Athens, Georgia working as a taxi driver. Grady Johnson died from heart failure on the 23rd of this month. He was 66.

John Tenta was known in the WWF as “Earthquake,” or “ The Canadian Earthquake.”
In 1990 he was involved in a three way feud with World Champion Hulk Hogan, and Intercontinental Champion “The Ultimate Warrior.” Later “Earthquake” became tag-team partners with Fred Ottman (Typhoon). They became WWF Tag-Team Champions. Tenta, a native of Canada, won a wrestling scholarship to LSU. He also played football for the Tigers. Before the WWF, Tenta went to Japan and became a sumo wrestler. John Tenta died from bladder cancer on the 7th. He was 42.
