Arkansas voters will have a chance to vote for two bond proposals on December 13th. Question 1 is a measure that will give the Highway Commission the authority to raise 575 billion dollars in bonds, and will also give them the freedom to spend the money as they wish.
Question 2 is also a bond proposal for 250 billion that will go towards education. Like the Highway Commission, the Department of Education will be allowed to spend this money freely.
The Shamgar Report is against both measures. I feel that if both Questions 1 and 2 pass, government will automaticaly get bigger and more powerful. And when government gains power, problems and corruption go up. Plus one day,the taxpayers will have to pay both bonds off. Where we will get this money when it's time to pay the piper? Think About!
I was happy to see that the Constitution Party and State Senator Jim Holt also oppose both bond measures.
Voters in Californa's 48 Congressional District will also go to the polls on December 6th. There is a good chance that Constitution Party Candidate Jim Gilchrist will be elected to Congress. If so this will be the first major victory for the Constitution Party. Let's pray that he will win.
