Abortion Is Still Legal

The Arkansas State Legislatures have passed a measure that would prohibit teen-agers from having an abortion without parental consent. Governor Mike Huckabee has stated he will sign it into law.

The politicans of Arkansas are very proud of themselves, but abortion is still legal. This soon to be law doesn't prohibit abortions, it simply makes it more difficult for a teen-ager to have one. True victory will come when Roe vs Wade is overturned.

The House also passed a bill that would only permit textbooks that support traditional marriage in the classroom. Right now the bill is in the Senate Education Committee where it could go down in defeat. At the moment the committee's vote is 3-3. The seventh member is in the hospital, and his position is unknown.
